Every year thousands of Bay Area kids go to a coding summer camp. Many love it and go back the next year.
We hear from parents:
- Year 1: it was great!
- Year 2: it was ok…
- Year 3: it was a waste of money!
The goal is a moving target though. First the goal is to spark the student’s interest, then in future years it is to keep that interest alive while learning and continuing to advance.
Breakout Mentors has a different summer format that allows us to more effectively reach both of those goals.
Create Your Own Group Class
We will create a custom class for your son or daughter and two to three friends. One of our talented mentors, an exciting college Computer Science student, will travel to your house and run the class right at your kitchen table!
Learning with your own friends is ideal to make it fun, but it also helps make sure all students have a similar interest and experience. The maximum of four students enables individual instruction, not a lecture or a quick scramble to provide answers when kids get stuck.
The result is a class that is a much better fit than open enrollment summer camps!
How it Works

We can do a soft hold for a certain week while you determine if friends are interested. Then in March we collect a 25% deposit to make it official.
