Legend is a junior at Stanford originally from Sacramento and already has an impressive software internship lined up for summer. He has been on the Breakout Mentors team for over a year, working with a wide range of students while always keeping it fun. Let’s get to know him!
When did you start to code?
I first started to code during my first quarter at Stanford. I knew nothing about programming before coming to college but now I love it!
What is your favorite game or project you have created with a student?
My favorite project that I created with a student was the Breakout game. This is a classic game that really sparked my interest in coding. Also, this game can easily be shown off to friends and family.
What advice do you have for kids learning how to code?
My main piece of advice for kids learning how to code is to not get discouraged when you do not understand something. When you are stuck, take a step back, think about what you are doing, then try it again.
