The beginning of the school year is always a little hectic for families. Now that it is past Labor Day, hopefully you are settled in. The sports schedule and after-school activities are all set, and you are ready for the weekly rhythm of the school year.
Now is the perfect time to add a weekly meeting with a coding mentor. It is natural to feel there is going to be more time in the future, let’s just wait until after soccer season, but there never is a perfect time. Therefore some very important things we intend to do can easily be pushed aside. Don’t let that happen to something as important as pursuing your child’s coding education!
Mentors Available Now
- Beginner Coding and Intermediate Computer Science — we have an exciting team of mentors this school year, ready to help with a wide variety of students. For example, a female Scratch specialist mentor at UC Berkeley, an male Stanford mentor who excels with beginning Python students, a female UCLA mentor with experience tutoring AP CS A Java, and a male UC Berkeley mentor who was a TA.
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning — our team of AI/ML specialists has never been stronger. Our flexible project-based curriculum requires mentors with a ton of personal project experience, not just theory in a class or two. For example, a female senior at UCSD with a specialization in ML and a male PhD student at Michigan with a specialization in biocomputation / medical.
- USACO Competitive Programming — this is the area we have to turn away the most students throughout the year. Don’t think that right before competition season in December you have time to make learning progress, even if we still have folks available. We should lay a strong foundation now, whether for Bronze or Silver division competitors. For example, a male University of Texas mentor or female Stanford mentor who both reached Gold that now specialize with Bronze students, a male UCSD mentor who reached Gold and excels at teaching Silver algorithms to students first learning them, and a male University of Texas mentor who reached Platinum and does difficult Silver problem solving insights.
No matter your son or daughter’s age or experience level, we have a mentor who will be a great fit. Just fill this out with your details and we will reach out about the next steps.

We are now starting to branch into providing a breadth of CS knowledge through small group workshops. This is the perfect way to gain exposure to many new areas of computer science.
This Saturday we are running our 3rd different workshop: “The 1s and 0s Behind Coding — Unlock the Secrets of Binary!”. Go here to learn more and register.
We also ran successful AI apps and mobile apps workshops in the past. The best way hear about upcoming workshops is to join our email list here.
